Body - half yellow, near the tail, half purple, ribbed with gold twist (the twist withstands the fishes' teeth best). Legs - dark purple hackle,with a little orange or red pig hair at the trottle, and blue jay. Wings - guinea hen, golden pheasant neck, crest, and tail feathers, mixed with peacock's wing, yellow and blue macaw feelers (the king-fisher is not necessary for the flies of this river).
